We would like to introduce you to our range of Tea Tree Products called Outback Organics, a complete range of Tea Tree products that contain natural, organic plants which are ethically sourced from a company in Australia who financially support the indigenous people who plant and harvest them.

The aborigines of New South Wales, Australia discovered Tea Tree Oil after they held the waters of Bungawalbin Creek with a bit of magical reverence. The name meant something like 'healing ground', and they believed the water held some sort of magical power. The leaves of the Tea Tree would fall into the water and decompose on the ground, and the tribes would use the mud and the waters to treat various ailments. When Captain James Cook travelled through the coastal regions of New South Wales he and his crew noticed massive groves of trees, thick with sticky aromatic leaves. The local natives told him about the healing power of these trees and how they had, for many years, used the crushed leaves to treat cuts and wounds. Crushed leaves were applied directly to an injury and then held in place with a mud pack to create a poultice that helped fight infection in the wound.

During World War 2, an outbreak of foot-fungus became so bad that it hospitalised hundreds of Australian soldiers. None of the 'modern' ointments worked to stop this fungus. A medic, who was an aborigine from Australia, remembered about the Tea Tree and got some of the Oil. The doctors coated the soldiers feet with the oil and the fungus was killed within a few days!
The majority of people have lost touch with nature's remedies……..Tea Tree oil is the perfect solution to many skin care needs, in fact it has been found to be ten times more powerful than carbolic acid but is non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin (use as a mild dilution to start with).Tea tree oil has been proven to be a powerful yet natural antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal medicine (essential oil).

It has been effectively used as a first aid remedy and against countless different skin ailments, infections, chicken pox, cuts, scrapes, burns, splinters, insect bites and skin spots etc.
Tea tree oil is also effective against nail fungus, ringworm, athlete's foot, dandruff, acne, blackheads and many types of infestations including lice, head lice, mites, scabies and mosquitoes etc...

Tea tree oil has also been known to help in the case of throat or chest infections, having a generally soothing and clearing (mucus-expelling) effect on the entire respiratory tract. It is also effective against head colds. You can use the pure oil on a cotton wool pad or cotton bud once or twice a day and apply directly to infection or wounds. For dry scalp, dandruff or headlice, put a couple of drops onto a comb or brush and brush hair from scalp to the ends twice a day. For acne, bites, stings and nail infections apply the oil directly using a cotton wool bud twice a day. For colds and flu burn a couple of drops in an oil burner with water or massage into the chest mixed in a tablespoon of vegetable oil. The exotic Australian fruits and plants chosen to enhance our range are obtained from an Australian Company who work and financially support the Australian Indigenous people who plant and harvest the plants in often remote, wild and economically disadvantaged regions of Australia, respecting traditional culture and knowledge.
