Why does my client experience skin lifting, infected follicles, burnt skin or bruising, post wax?

This is a question we often get asked by our customers but don’t worry, there are lots of simple changes you can make to your waxing system in order to avoid skin lifting, infected follicles, burnt skin or bruising after being waxed. Our range of pre and post wax care products will prepare the skin before wax is applied and soothe it following the treatment. Take a look at our top tips for avoiding reactions such as skin lifting, infected follicles, burnt skin or bruising.

  • Before applying wax to the skin, you should prepare the area by using our Gel Cleanser to clean the area.
  • While you can use our Botanical Body Oil with any wax, it does work particularly well with any of our peelables
  • Avoid using strip wax on delicate skin such as eyebrows, upper lip, underarm or intimate areas
  • Use peelable wax for back and chest waxes ensuring full cleansing and use of botanical oil as part of your procedure. Use the post wax spray for skins prone to infected follicles followed by Aloe Gel.
  • Always support the skin with every removal
  • Check wax temperature periodically to look for changes in consistency indicating a temperature increase or decrease.
  • Still experiencing these problems with our wax. Give us a call or drop us an email and tell us about it. Our waxes are designed to provide a first class waxing experiencing so no doubt with a few small tweaks to your regime, we can help you solve any issues you may be having.
