Equipment FAQs

What types of wax heaters are available?

We offer a full range of professional wax heaters, including single-chamber 1000cc units, compact cartridge heaters, and dual-chamber options with separate temperature controls. These are available in digital and analogue formats, giving you full control over your setup whether you're working in a salon or on the go.

Which waxes are the heaters compatible with?

All Outback Organics wax heaters are designed to work with the full range of Outback waxes – including both strip and peelable types. You can also use them with other standard-size wax tins and cartridges, making them a flexible option for mixed treatments.

What is the difference between digital and analogue wax heaters?

Digital heaters offer precise temperature control with easy-to-read displays, while analogue versions are simpler to operate and more affordable. Both are reliable, but digital models may be preferred where maintaining consistent heat is critical, such as in busy salons or for treatments using sensitive peelable waxes.

Do I need a wax inner?

Using a wax inner helps prolong the life of your heater by protecting it from direct wax contact. It also makes it easier to switch between different waxes during the day. Inners come with scraper bars for cleaner application and are highly recommended for peelable waxes, which require more careful handling.

Can I link multiple heaters together?

Yes. Some models, like our hand-held roller wax heater and standard 1000cc heaters, include connection bases that allow you to link units together. This keeps your treatment area tidy and avoids the need for multiple power cables or sockets.

How long do the heaters take to warm up?

Most heaters reach working temperature within 30–40 minutes. It's best to switch them on about half an hour before your first treatment to ensure the wax has the right consistency. Always check the temperature using a wax-safe thermometer before applying.

Are these heaters portable?

Yes. Many of our heaters, particularly the hand-held and 1000cc models, are compact enough for mobile use. They're lightweight, easy to clean, and have lockable lids to protect contents during transport.

How do I clean the heaters?

Allow the heater to cool slightly before cleaning. Use a wax equipment cleaner to remove residue from the outer casing and surrounding area. Avoid getting liquid into the heating element. For best results, use collar rings during treatments to catch drips and make cleanup easier.

What size wax tins fit the heaters?

Our 1000cc heaters are designed for standard 800g wax tins. They also include a removable wax inner which holds the same volume, making them suitable for decanting wax or switching types throughout the day. Cartridges for the roller wax heater are standard 100g size.

Do the heaters come with a warranty?

Yes. Most models come with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Always keep proof of purchase and register your heater where required to ensure you're covered. If you experience any issues, contact our support team for help with replacements or servicing.
