What is strip wax?

Strip wax is a soft wax applied in a thin layer and removed using a waxing strip. It's ideal for covering larger areas like legs, arms, backs and chests. The wax remains soft on the skin and is designed to remove hair cleanly and efficiently with minimal residue.

What are the benefits of using strip wax?

Strip wax allows fast, effective hair removal over large surface areas. Our formulas have a low melting point for client comfort and a gel-like texture that glides easily and leaves little to no residue. It's ideal for busy salons needing a reliable, quick wax that delivers consistent results.

Which areas of the body is strip wax best for?

Strip wax is best suited for larger, less sensitive areas such as the legs, arms, back and chest. It’s not generally recommended for intimate waxing or the face, where a peelable wax offers better precision and less skin drag.

Are your strip waxes suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, several of our strip waxes are designed with sensitive skin in mind. Options like Opal and Jade contain soothing botanicals such as eucalyptus and Australian plum extract. These ingredients help reduce irritation and calm the skin during and after waxing.

Do your strip waxes leave residue?

No. Our strip waxes are formulated to leave very little residue on the skin. The gel-like texture sets them apart from more traditional sticky waxes, making post-wax cleanup quicker and more pleasant for both client and therapist.

How many full-leg waxes do I get from an 800g tin of Outback Strip Wax?

Each 800g tin provides enough wax for approximately 5 – 6 full leg treatments, depending on hair density and application thickness.

Are your strip waxes vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. All of our strip waxes are vegan and cruelty-free. They contain no beeswax or animal-derived ingredients and are never tested on animals. Each product is also paraben-free.

Do you offer fragrance-free options?

Yes. Gold Strip Wax is a completely fragrance-free option, ideal for clients with sensitivities or allergies. For those who prefer a light scent, other options include eucalyptus, citrus, or calming botanicals, depending on the formula.

What is the working temperature for strip wax?

Our strip waxes perform best at around 67°C to 71°C. At this temperature, the wax should have the consistency of single cream. Always test the wax before applying to the skin and follow heater guidelines to avoid overheating.

Can strip wax be used for speed waxing?

Yes. Many therapists use our strip waxes for speed waxing treatments. Cartridges are particularly useful for this purpose, but even in tin form, the smooth texture and low working temperature of our strip waxes make them quick and easy to apply.

How do I choose the right strip wax for my clients?

It depends on your client’s skin type and your personal preference. Amethyst and True Blue offer vibrant colours and distinctive fragrances. Jade and Eucalyptus are great for sensitive skin. Gold is fragrance-free, while Opal includes hypoallergenic botanical extracts. Each wax offers a slightly different experience but maintains the same high-performance standard.
